Large, fleshy corallites in a contrasting palette of red and green coloration add visual excitement to your reef aquarium landscape. The LiveAquaria® Certified Captive Grown Blastomussa Merletti Coral requires moderate aquarium lighting conditions achieved by T-5s, powerful LEDs or the more intense metal halides. To maximize growth rate, maintain high pH, alkalinity and calcium levels, as well as high water quality with phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. Along with proper lighting and water quality, the LiveAquaria® Certified Captive Grown Blastomussa Merletti Coral does not require strong water movement.

A peaceful reef inhabitant, the will not bother other neighboring corals. However, be sure to provide ample space away from other corals to accommodate for growth. For its continued good health, the LiveAquaria® Certified Captive Grown Blastomussa Merletti Coral requires the addition of calcium, magnesium, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.

However, it will benefit from supplemental feedings in the form of micro-plankton or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.
