The LiveAquaria® CCGC Aquacultured Goniastrea Coral in this alluring purple, orange and green color morph will beautifully satisfy your need for color. The deep purple and green coloration of the meaty lobes provides the perfect background to set off the minty green coloration of the oral disc. This amazing color combination injects an exciting "POP" of color sure to elicit compliments as well as a bit of reef envy. The Goniastrea Brain Coral is a great addition for LPS collectors as well as any reef aquarium enthusiast.

Care for Goniastrea Brain Coral is relatively easy, making it an excellent choice for the beginner to expert hobbyist. The Goniastrea Brain Coral requires moderate lighting combined with medium water movement within the aquarium. Similar to its cousins, the Favia corals, the Goniastrea Brain Coral expands its sweeper tentacles at night well beyond the base. It is important to leave space between them and neighbors in the reef aquarium.

For continued good health, the Goniastrea Brain Coral will also require the addition of calcium, strontium, iodine, magnesium and trace elements. It will also benefit from additional food fed weekly in the form of chopped meaty items, micro-plankton or baby brine or mysis shrimp.

LiveAquaria® Aquacultured Coral frags are mounted to a fired ceramic plug that can be affixed to live rock anywhere in the aquarium with gel super glue or epoxy.
