LiveAquaria® Professional Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) is pure sodium carbonate available in convenient bulk sizes to offer experienced aquarists a cost-saving way to maintain proper alkalinity levels in marine fish-only aquariums and coral reef aquariums. Alkalinity (the buffering capacity of water) plays an important role in maintaining stable pH by combating acidification that can lower pH.

LiveAquaria® Professional Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) can be used alone to raise alkalinity levels in marine fish-only aquariums or as a component of a two-part calcium and alkalinity supplement system to help ensure healthy, vigorous growth of corals, coralline algae, clams and other invertebrates. Just 1 teaspoon of LiveAquaria® Professional Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) per 65 gallons of water raises aquarium alkalinity by approximately 1 dKH. For use in marine aquariums only.

Please Note: Always test alkalinity levels prior to use. Do not add LiveAquaria® Professional Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) directly to your aquarium water.

Directions &; Dosage
Do not add LiveAquaria® Professional Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) directly to your aquarium water. Create a solution at the prescribed dosage detailed below. Always test alkalinity levels prior to use. Alkalinity levels found in natural seawater is between 7-12 dKH. Due to the sensitivity of marine organisms, it is not recommended to raise alkalinity by more than 1 dKH (0.36 meq/l) per 24 hours.

DOSAGE: Add one teaspoon (5 grams) per 65 gallons to raise alkalinity by approximately 1 dKH. Dissolve appropriate amount in RO/DI water, slowly add to a high flow area, ideally into a sump. Monitor pH while dosing. Avoid immediate impact of pH change to more than +/- 0.2. Re-test and repeat dose until desired level is reached.

NOTE: Due to the variation of granular size, conversion between volume and weight of powdered products are approximate; as a precaution, dose less than the calculated amount and measure the effect before adding the total amount.

CAUTION: Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash hands after handling.

STORAGE: Store in a cool, dry place with lid tightly sealed. Keep out of reach of children.
