Variegated Spider Lily
Description
The Variegated Spider Lily also produces fragrant star-shaped blooms that add another layer of interest to this highly desirable pond plant. Flowers typically bloom in spring to early summer on strong, leafless stems. Each stem produces clusters of white spidery flowers, up to 10 flowers per stem, for a showy floral display.
The Variegated Spider Lily should be planted in rich soil in 2-gallon containers, and may have up to 6 inches of pond water over their crown. Once planted, place in sun to partial shade. If planted in moist marshy conditions, it may form a colony with its runners. The Variegated Spider Lily may reach up to 24" high with a spread of 12". Divide clumps after flowering or start from seed in warm water. In northern zones, winter indoors as a houseplant. Zones 7-11.
